Cindy Goes Vertical

Like many of us, new team member Dr. Cindy Dunn spent last Saturday on her fixed gear. Except she was flying around the Forest City Velodrome like a seasoned track pro. Cindy finished up her Track One requirements and is looking forward to perhaps entering the track camp just after the holidays. Its a 5 day intense track and road workout week that prepares you for track racing on Saturday Evenings. For pictures of Cindy smiling going around the wooden banks click HERE. For an interview with Dr. Dunn, the .mp3 can be found HERE.
I have not put this up on iTunes yet, for you PC people, you may have to cut/paste the link in your favorite audio player, for you mac people, I have no clue.
The velodrome is only about 3.5 hours from Rochester, closer than many races we do in the summer, and what a great way to beat the winter doldrums. The track one session starts at 11, and ends at 1. After that there is 3 hrs of recreation riding on the track. That makes it quite possible to go after breakfast, and be home by dinner. Just take warm clothes and some snacks and drinks for lunch and recovery. Its cold and very dry in the building.
If you are spending the night, then there are several inexpensive hotels in the area, and even a Outback Steak House that serves Honey Brown on tap.
