Team Visits Brewery
|
Rochester, NY To begin
the relationship, the team was invited for a brewery tour.
[photos] The tour was one part how do you make beer, and one part how
do you make money making beer. The team learned that we are a crucial part
of the second formula. We all look forward to a win/win relationship
in 2005. Yes, we did get to sample all of the products. Let me set the
scene, a bunch of athletes who normally ingest 3 to 4000 calories a day had
not eaten since breakfast and we were forced to sample our sponsors
products. An incredible team building experience. We look forward to many
race win celebrations with our sponsor's products. |

JW DUNDEE'S Cycling Team Rides Specialized
Team Frameset
|
 |
 |
Rochester NY -- RVE Bike shop of Fairport helps JW
DUNDEE'S Cycling team become outfitted with new Specialized Team framesets. This
is a definite upgrade over the SWorks E5s. The same light yet stiff main
triangle, but added carbon rear stays. Only Specialized sponsored teams will be
riding these frames in 2005. |
Cancer Survivorship Rides Continue
|

|
|
Rochester NY,
Due to the continued sponsorship and riders willing to spend their time
towards a wonderful cause, the cancer survivorship rides will continue this
summer. The Cancer Survivorship aspect of the team is perhaps the most
impressive. It is a method for each of us to give back something to
those who need the most help. Currently Dwight is leading the winter effort with spin classes on
Monday evening. See
http://wellness.interlakesoncology.org/ for more information on Interlakes Oncology and the survivorship rides. |

Thanks to the
efforts of Dwight, the team now has another great company sponsoring its
efforts. We all have been using their products and now our sponsoring bike
shop RVE will carry the Hammer
Nutrition product line. |

Mathis Dominates Mendon
| May 3, 2005 - Mendon,
NY Mike wins another Gtour by constantly attacking and never letting up.
Congrats to Mike. |
Cheyne Hoag Crosses the Finish Line First!
|
May 2, 2005 Virgil NY---Junior
Cheyne Hoag crossed the finish line first at Hollenbeck this weekend,
crushing other juniors that were cat 3s. Cheyne's win was stolen due to a
mechanical issue that limits the largest gear a junior can use during a
race. Keep your eyes on him during the Bristol race this weekend to see him
in action, and hopefully capture the prize he so deserves. |

Mark Rowley Wins at Rush !!
| April 26 , 2005 -Rush, NY
On a very windy night , Mark attacked the peloton with 2 laps to go , but
this first attempt to get away failed and he was reeled in by the pack not
long after . Feeling aggressive Mark decided to have another go and attacked
again in the same spot , at the start of the last lap , and this time was
able to stay away by himself for his first GTour win .
In the As Mike Mathis worked hard in the
deciding break to come in third and Rob
Dietrick
coming in sixth. |

Mike Mathis Wins Wheatland!
| April12, 2005 - Wheatland,
NY In convincing style Mike puts down the hammer into a headwind to win
the GTour event today in Wheatland. Mike constantly was on the offensive in
the race, and finally broke the elastic in the last two miles. Congrats to
Mike and his constant aggression.
Dwight Roth took the initial prime by powering solo to the finish. He tried
for two but was nipped at the line.
Mike victory is the first of many A race wins
this for the JW Dundee's Cycling team. |

JW Dundee's Draws First Blood!
April 5, 2005 -
Victor, NY In the first event of the season-long GVCC race series
(The G Tour), Dave Rowley and Jim Fetten
of the JW Dundee's Premium Beers Cycling Squad powered to a first and
second place finish respectively in the club's B group race.
It was an especially
harsh race for the first race of the season, with plenty of stiff
competition coming from some of the other teams. The last time up the
big climb on the Victor course, the hammer went down, and Dave and Jim
were among a select few that blew apart the remaining peleton. After
catching the last of the skinny climber-types on the fast downhill into
the finish, Dave and Jim turned the motors on, and no one else could
hang on, as the two of them cruised across the finish line. A great
show of strength, and yet another win for Dave Rowley. Congrats, Dave!
We figure it will just be a matter of time before club president Todd
Scheske awards Dave with his "scarlet letter".

Dave Rowley wins B Division Giro's
| When all the points are
counted, including total number of first places, Dave Rowley is the winner!
Dave leads the JW team in number of wins this year. Congrats to Dave, and
the entire squad for a stellar performance early in the year. |
